This is a 40-minute session with an interactive Q & A for WordPress beginners with little or no understanding of Search Engine Optimization, SEO. This session presents the purpose of SEO and basic SEO concepts, as well as, the key factors to improve SEO.

This is an introductory SEO class and lays down the foundation needed to know about SEO. This session is a prerequisite for the follow-on class WordPress SEO Basics for next month. The follow-up WordPress SEO Basics class will use the SEO concepts and vocabulary presented and will be devoted to on-site hands-on SEO using the Yoast plugin.
