WordPress 8 hour Hands-on Class for Beginners
Meetup: Tampa & Ybor
Featured Speaker: Alison Foxall Alphonso Montibello
This beginner class is a full day workshop. It’s geared to student with little or no experience with WordPress. The workshop will cover the installation of WordPress, configuration settings, initial setup, WordPress basics necessary to build a site, administrative menus, and practical use of key features including themes, plugins, widgets and hands-on guidance to build an operational website on the Internet. When the class is complete, the student will have the option to continue to use and work on his or her website to further develop their website concept and explore WordPress more fully.
This will be a group learning experience. Our class approach is to provide lectures with hands-on activities to build the website while in class as a “best-effort”. The workshop’s objective is skill development, gain practical knowledge and leave class with more confidence and not necessarily develop a completed website for each student. I have updated the agenda to ensure there is enough class-time to ask questions at the end of each topic.
